NFL football, the most popular sport in America, gets a lot of viewers on both network and premium TV services. We all know many lights and power systems are necessary to stage these spectacular events.  So energy efficiency has become very important for the operations and maintenance staff at Paul Brown Stadium.  In February 2014, Hamilton County entered into a contract with Ameresco, a leading energy services company, to provide various energy efficiency upgrades to the home of the Cincinnati Bengals.  These upgrades include LED lighting throughout the facility and riverfront parking garages, lighting control system replacement, boiler plant installations, domestic hot water upgrades, building automation system upgrades, HVAC improvements, kitchen hood controls, and more.  Construction of the $16 million project is scheduled to finish before the start of the 2015 Bengals season and is anticipated to save in excess of $1.2 million in utility expenses annually.

Ameresco is offering AEE members a tour of Paul Brown Stadium on Friday, April 10th at 2:00pm.  The tour is expected to last approximately 2 hours and will require significant walking throughout the facility.  On-site parking is limited so attendance is limited to the first 25 individuals to register and attendees are encouraged to carpool if possible.  Attendees are required to present a valid driver’s license or state-issued ID when they check-in with security.

Driving Directions
Enter the facility through the South West Gate #1 off of Mehring Way.  Press the intercom button and let security know your name and that you are there for the AEE meeting.  Security will then direct you on where to park.
