When:      Friday Nov 21, 2pm
Where:     Moerlein Lager House, 115 Joe Nuxhall Way, Cincinnati 45202
Cost:        None

This event featured a tour of the Moerlein Lager House.  A 15,000 square foot, 2-story structure with a 'biergarten' atmosphere, it seats up to 500 inside with an additional 600 in outside beer gardens.  There is a 2nd-floor "Four Seasons Room" and a working microbrewery with an annual output of 5,000 barrels.  Once complete, the Moerlein Lager House will employ 200 people and become Cincinnati's largest brewpub in terms of capacity and the annual production.

Building has geothermal heating, cooling and refrigeration.  Future plans include a green roof and sun-shading of the interiors.  A "Pump and Dump" geothermal system supplies the Lager House with additional tap for expansion. The building is intending to be a "green" building, aiming to apply for LEED certification.  "It is a continued collaboration between the Cincinnati Park Board and Christian Moerlein Brewing Company to enhance green and LEED certified initiatives as responsible business practices," says Christian Moerlein Brewing Company owner Greg Hardman.
